Tisha Lee Almas was born at the bottom of a California mountain in 1985. At 20 years old, curious about the world at large, she began to study art and travel from a small suitcase. At the age of 25, she decided to combine the two. A painter of people and places, Tisha is happiest being thrown into new experiences, eating Chana Masala, walking Bailey the dog, and people watching in airports. She is inspired by the art of Roger Duvoisin, Alice and Martin Provensen, and those wonderful Italian, Sienese painters from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. She is currently illustrating her first picture book and plans to illustrate many, many more.
