Carolyn grew up catching lizards and climbing trees. Although she always wanted to be an author, she seriously considered becoming a zoo keeper. She grew up with a hamster, two parakeets, two dogs, and a salt-water tank of hermit crabs she brought home from the beach.
Carolyn lives in Texas with her husband, four kids, an equal number of beta fish, and one adorable mutt. Her poems and stories have been published in several children’s magazines. When she’s not busy writing, you can find Carolyn homeschooling her four kids. Or, occasionally, at the zoo.
And, since you were wondering, it’s pronounced lay-LAW-glue.
